Welcome to the Grade 10 Economics online course at the School of Econ. We offer a course designed to explain difficult concepts clearly, build confidence, and help learners prepare for tests and exams at their own pace. It follows the South African CAPS curriculum and builds on all the main prescribed texts.

The course includes:

• Small chunks of online content that follow the curriculum as it is covered in class.
• There are explainer videos for the abstract and difficult-to-grasp concepts. Economists love tables and graphs, but when is it a move along the demand curve, and when is it a move of the demand curve? Applications that sound clear in class can be difficult to master on one’s own, but the videos allow learners to review the explanations over and over again.
• Download and complete the Build-your-own-notes frameworks. You can use the handout to: Read the online content, fill in key terms, complete the prompts, add your own notes, use the checkboxes, and reflect on what you have learned.
• And then there are interesting examples and applications from current events to inspire a love for Economics (and make you the more interesting person in any conversation).
