Economists are known for their different Schools of Thought. It is not a topic that we get to in grade 10, but over hundreds of years, there have been many influential thinkers. Some of the famous ones are, of course, Adam Smith, Karl Marx, Alfred Marshall, John Maynard Keynes, and Friedrich Hayek.

There is also a Nobel Prize in Economics, or as it is more formally known,  the Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel. You can learn more about it on Wikipedia.
